Introducing...

Introducing Meika Xian!! Waiting in Chengdu, China!! Lily and I hope to travel to China in the early fall to bring her home. She will be two years old in August. We are frantically trying to get ready for a toddler...or at least the Mama is, Lily is just trying to get used to the idea of what life will be like with a baby sister. She is very willing...and I am sure she will be the greatest of big sisters.

Meika is indeed in the area of the recent devastating earthquake. She is reported to be safe and still be living with her foster family near the orphanage. Good information on the orphanages affected by the quake is at this link: www.halfthesky.org

LOTS OF FUN

Lily loves to "cook" and so it was with great pleasure that she received a chef outfit for Christmas from her Aunt Norma and Uncle Chris. Here she is doing the "pre-cook dance" to jump up the creative juices. You may also notcie she maintains the decor of the frig as well.

Welcome to Kim and Lily's family blog. This is our first posting. The photo at left is Lily in February after a rare heavy snow. We spent the day making our snow women and drinking hot choloclate. Our dog Loretta also enjoyed playing in the snow as all the trampled snow can attest.
